A passionate advocate of dance education and the performing arts, Chelcie Jacobs has been dancing since the age of five. She started her dance training at Creative outlet in Brooklyn, New York. At the age of eight, she joined Perfections Dance School, located in Elmont NY. After training with Perfections for four years, she became a student at the Gloria Eve School of the Performing Arts, where she broadened her dance repertoire to include Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop and African dance.
Chelcie would go on to graduate from the Boces Program at the Long Island High School of the Arts with a dance concentration. She would pursue her undergraduate studies at Virginia State University with a major in psychology and minor in dance. After realizing she wanted to major in Dance, Chelcie would transfer to Old Dominion University, where she doubled majored in dance and psychology.
Chelcie currently teaches soca dance classes at Devoure dance studios and is the rehearsal coordinator for Kofago Dance Ensemble.
